Neon Tips: Nail Art

Hi everyone! Today's post is just a little tutorial for nails! A kind of summer-y look so if you like it keep on reading to see how i did it!

I started with my nail care routine and then applied 2 coats of the base color, in this case I used China Glaze Recycle.

Then I used tape to form a triangle on the tip of my nail.

Then I use my first tip color and paint over it.I'm using 3 colors from the China Glaze Sunsational collection, this one is Sun of a Peach.

When you remove the tape it should look like this.

Then, wait for it to dry completely and put a piece of tape in a straight line right where the triangle ends.

Choose your second color, I'm using China Glaze Highlight of my Summer, and paint with the brush in a diagonal motion, you could also put a piece of tape over the orange to protect it.

Do the same on the other side with the third color, I'm using China Glaze Neon & On & On.

Remove the tape and it should look like this.

excuse the messy tip
Apply a top coat to  smooth everything out, I used China Glaze Fast Forward. It also gave it a nice shiny fnish. And you're done!

Hope you liked this tutorial! Leave me a comment and tell me if you tried this and which colors you used!

Jelly Glitter Sandwich Nails

Hey! I know you all probably know how to do a jelly glitter sandwich but I wanted to share with you my nails!
So I started with my Nail Care Routine, then I applied Beauty Secrets Hardener as my basecoat, and followed with 2 coats of China Glaze Keepin It Teal from the jelly half of the Sunsational Collection.

After they dried completely I used the glitter half of the L.A Colors Flashpop! in Flashing Lights. I applied one coat and the picked the glitter with a toothpick and put it on my nails.

Then, another coat of Keepin it Teal and my favorite top coat: China Glaze Fast Forward and we're done!

I hope you liked this post! Have you ever tried the jelly glitter sandwich method? Do you like it? Let me know on the comments!

China Glaze Swatches

Hey! Today I bring you the promised post with the swatches of the polishes I showed you on my mini haul. I used China Glaze Fast Forward as the top coat.

First is Oxygen, I thought this one was more beige and awesome but it actually looks pretty white on the nails. I really wanted to like this polish but it's just not my color. The formula was nice but it's kind of sheer so I had to put on 3 coats. (excuse my messy manicure but it was hard to remove)

Next is Midtown Magic, wow this polish is so pretty! but also really hard to photograph, in person it looks more purple-y and the glitter looks real nice. I only used 2 coats for this one. Also, when I was removing it, whith the touch of the nail polish remover, the glitter looked amazing! it was suer gold and shimmery I was really tempted to leave it like that! It reminded me of those markers that with an eraser look a different color!

Finally I have Swing Baby, this one looks like the golden version of "Platinum Silver" except less streaky, this one has a great formula and it looks really nice!

I hope you liked the swatches! Do you own any of these polishes? Comment down below and let me know!

Essence Nail Art Express Dry Drops: Review

If you're anything like me and you constantly ruin your nails while waiting for them to dry, then you're gonna like this product as much as I do.
I've recently started buying Eseence products and so far I've had great experiences with all of them and this was no exception.
I've heard about nail polish drying drops but I never really cared because they were kind of expensive but I saw this and it was only 3 dollars so I got it.

So they way this works is, after you painted your nails, wait a minute and put a drop on every nail and it reduces the drying time in half. It comes with a dropper so it's really handy.

It looks like water but it´s actually oily but hey! it works really great so it doesn´t matter. Just be careful because it can fall and break.

Mini Haul

How's everyone doing? So today's post is a haul of stuff I stumbled upon that I couldn't resist buying!

You probably already know this, but I have a weakness for nail polish, and everytime I go somewhere that sells China Glaze I leave with at least one polish, I have issues, I know.
This one is called Oxygen, and while I normally don't go for white polishes that often, this one was so pretty I couldn´t pass it up. It's actually more like a white with a little hint of pink or beige, it kind of reminds me of a whiter Princess Grace.

Sun of a Peach. This polish! I was looking for this polish and Too Yacht To Handle from the Sunsational collection forever! and everywhere they were sold out, they never got them or they had no idea what I was talking about and I found this friend hidden among the regular collection ones and I was so happy, now I'm only missing Too Yach To Handle.

Midtown Magic. When I saw this one it looked black with gold shimmer but after buying it and actually looking at it in a well lit place, is more of a purpley/red with gold and red shimmer, it's so pretty I can't wait to put it on my nails!
This one is called Swing Baby and in the bottle it looks like a golden sand color, it's really nice and I can't wait to show you the swatches. They'll be up later this week so wait for them!

Another thing I was looking for! I read great reviews about this gel eyeliner and when I decided to go get it I only found it in grey but this time they had it in black but I haven´t been able to try it on properly because they had no brushes and I forgot to go look for one! So I'll review this as soon as I can find an angle brush!
I tried to use it with this weird brush I had and it didn't work.

I also got a pretty white sleeveless shirt that looks like it belongs on a comic book and it was on sale, so a bargain, I fell in love with it and I had to buy it even if it is a little big on me, so I've been using it to sleep in because it's so soft.

Last but not least, I got another Essence nail polish remover (pictured above) because I'm running out of the pink one and I thought I'd try this one next!

Hope you enjoyed this haul, and keep an eye for the swatches of this polishes sometime this week!
Have an awesome day! Comment down below if you've tried the gel eyeliner or just to let me know what you think!

Nail Polish of the Week

Hey everyone! Are you enjoying your weekend so far?

Today I have the swatch and review of Angel Kiss by Color Club, it's a holo!
About 2 months ago I went to Sally Beauty Supply and bought two holo Color Club polishes, when I got home I put them with all my other polishes instead of inside the box where I put everything I haven't worn yet, and totally forgot I had them until today!
On the bottle this looks kind of silvery with a hint of green, and the holo looks super cool.
After doing my whole Nail Care Routine I put this on, and it's opaque enough that you'd get away with only one coat but let me tell you that I never had issues with any other holos from Color Club but this was kind of patchy on some nails and it dried super quick so it left weird streaks on my nails on the first coat, but a second coat helped even out everything.

The picture above is indoors , I tried to take some out on the sun so that'd you notice how strong the holo is but the sun refuses to come out and it's been raining like crazy. Sorry

Oh and also, I didn't use any topcoat.

Have you tried any holo polishes? Do you like the effect? Let me know!

Favorite Semi-Permanent Hair Dye

Fun fact about me: Over the past 3 years I've dyed my hair a ton of different colors, blue, green, white, lilac, you name it and I've used a bunch of brands but there's this one that I keep coming back to. Manic Panic.

And I've heard a lot of people say that they had bad experiences with Manic Panic but honestly, this dye sticks to my hair like no other, the only "weird" one was Ultra Violet that faded after a month but even then it left my hair a nice gray color, and the 3 blues I´ve tried haven´t stained my hair that ugly green shade that other dyes do (I´m looking at you kuul). My favorite so far has to be Hot Hot Pink, that super hot pink stayed on my hair for months even after swimming for 4 days in a row, and when it started to fade it did to a nice pastel pink and then to a peach-y color.

A huge plus is that is vegan and it also conditions your hair and leaves it super soft.

Some of the dyes glow under black light, which around Halloween was especially amusing for my little cousins.

The consistency is almost the same as a conditioner except a little more liquid-y.

You can mix them to create your own shade or dilute them with conditioner to get the shade you want but it makes the dye last less time although I think they came out with a "pastelizer" that promises to dilute the color but last as long as non-diluted but I have yet to try that.
Normally the color lasts in my hair around 3-4 months but I think it has to do with the fact that I leave the dye on all night and wash it in the morning.
Currently my hair is half Atomic Turquoise over faded Voodoo Blue and Half Hot Hot Pink diluted with a little bit of conditioner.

Have you tried Manic Panic? What do you think? What's your favorite brand of dye?
